CZEN relationship to CZNet
CZEN worked closely with the former Critical Zone Observatories (CZO) NSF national program that focused on 9 U.S observatories and served the critical zone science community through research, infrastructure, data, and models. In December 2020, the CZO program was succeeded by the Critical Zone Collaborative Network (CZNet).

Your Research Interest(s):
I work on hydrology and biogeochemistry of large river basins and small catchments since 40 years. I am the PI of Auradé experimental catchment (which belongs to the French Research Infrastructure OZCAR: French network of Critical Zone Observatories) in the South West of France and of the eLTER "Zone Atelier Pyrenees-Garonne" (French LTSER which belongs to French Research Infrastructure RZA: Zone Atelier network). I am interested by:
- physical erosion and river suspended sediment transport
- chemical erosion and river dissolved load
- weathering rate and the carbon cycle: atmospheric/biospheric CO2 consumed by weathering
- tracing with stable isotopes (13C, 15N, 2H, 18O)
- heavy metals and rare earth elements transfers from soil to river
- pesticides transfers from soil to river
- ecotoxicological impacts of organic and inorganic contaminants in soils and aquatic ecosystems
- Climate change and anthropgenic impacts on soil erosion, chemical weathering of rock, carbon cycle, nutrient transfers, soil and water pollutions
