Environmental Chemistry Tenure Track Position

Northern Arizona University seeks a full-time tenure-track joint position shared between the School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program in environmental chemistry, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, provide teaching excellence in upper-division undergraduate- and graduate-level environmental chemistry lectures and labs, and actively serve the university. Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in chemistry, geosciences, or closely related academic field conferred by the start date of August 20, 2018. Preferred qualifications (see full ad for details): research experience in field and laboratory settings, appropriate publication and funding record, effective university teaching and mentoring, research interests in the discipline to complement NAU strengths, and experience working in culturally diverse environments.
