Brief Site Description:
Mediterranean Hydrometerological Observatory Cévennes-Vivarais
Detailed Site Description:

The Cévennes-Vivarais Mediterranean Hydro-meteorological Observatory (OHMCV) brings together the skills of researchers from various disciplines (meteorology, hydrology, geophysics, geography, applied mathematics, socio-economics, etc.) to improve the knowledge and capabilities of hydro risk prediction. -mineral weather associated with intense rainfall and flash floods in the Mediterranean region.

The OHM-CV is strongly involved in the MISTRALS (Regional Integrated Regional and Local Scales) meta-program of the Inter-Organizations Environment Committee, and in particular the HyMeX project. This project is dedicated to the study of the water cycle in the Mediterranean, with a particular interest for the evolution of climate variability and for the genesis and predictability of intense events.
