The Blandy Experimental Farm contains several land use types typically found in rural-suburban landscapes. This mix of land use types is typical and representative in the Middle Atlantic Domain. This site will be under increasing ecological pressure from urbanization within the rapidly growing megapolitan area. The amount of land cover and associated ecosystem processes in each of these land use types is expected to change over time.
