The 8th International Symposium on Physiological Processes in Roots of Woody Plants will be held in-person on July 10-14, 2022 at Penn State University in State College, PA. The oral and poster abstract submission deadlines are May 31, 2022!
There will be six sessions:
- Session 1: Modifying and Managing Root Systems in Agricultural Crops with Global Change
- Session 2: Scaling Root Processes: Root Functional Traits
- Session 3: Root-signaling and Microbial Interactions
- Session 4: Roots in the Critical Zone: Resource Acquisition and Release in a Changing Environment
- Session 5: Managing Root Systems in Impaired Environments
- Session 6: Plant Carbon Expenditure Belowground
In particular, Session 4: Roots in the Critical Zone: Resource Acquisition and Release in a Changing Environment should be of interest to a number of CZEN researchers. Sharon Billings is the keynote.
