Post-Doctoral Position in Remote Sensing of Mountain Ecohydrology
In recognition of the global nature of Critical Zone (CZ) science, the NSF has provided funding to the CZ Observatory (CZO) Science Across Virtual Institutes (SAVI) program to enable travel to CZ sites or pre-eminent laboratories overseas to further the investigation of the CZ.

Vermont EPSCoR is recruiting several postdoctoral associates to join our cutting-edge NSF funded research on Basin Resilience to Extreme Events (BREE). We are initiating a five-year award of large-scale interdisciplinary studies which will determine how the Lake Champlain Basin’s landscape, watershed and lake conditions respond to extreme weather events and will test policy scenarios for enhancing resilience using our comprehensive Integrated Assessment Model (IAM).
CZO Science Across Virtual Institutes/ French RBV Scholars Program
Deadline: May 15, 2016
This announcement is an open solicitation for applications by graduate students or postgraduates at U.S. universities to receive funds for international travel to French Critical Zone Observatories during 2016. A similar program of research-related travel awards is being offered by France to support travel by their students to U.S. CZOs.
eLTER offers in-person (physical) Transnational Access (TA) to 18 well-equipped, long-term ecosystem research sites across major European socioeconomic and environmental gradients in 17 countries.
Proposals for the John Wesley Powell Center for Analysis and Synthesis are due January 31, 2016.
