Conference Announcement

Special integrated research session at AAG on wetlands and meadows

CZEN members going to American Association of Geographers (AGG) next spring on April 10-14, 2018 in New Orleans should be interested in this special session. We have room for a couple more papers.

Session Id: 11879

Title: Wetlands and Meadows: Integrated Research in Geomorphology, Soils, Hydrology, Biogeography and Microclimatology

Description

Last call for Goldschmidt 2018 session proposals!

Dear all,

There are only a couple of days left to submit a session proposal to one of the critical zone related sessions at Goldschmidt 2018, to be held in Boston, August 12-17th. Session proposals are due Wednesday, November 1st and can be submitted here: https://goldschmidt.info/2018/instructionsForSessions

The conference science committee set up two critical zone related themes for 2018:

Goldschmidt 2018: submit abstract to Soils and the Critical Zone theme

Goldschmidt is the foremost annual, international conference on geochemistry and related subjects, organized by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry. Goldschmidt 2018 will be held in Boston, Massachusetts on August 12-17, 2018.

Submit a session or workshop by November 1, 2017.

AGU Session B063: Soil Carbon Dynamics at Broad Scales: Linking Mechanistic Knowledge to Broad-scale Applications

AGU abstract submission ends tomorrow (8/2/17)!.

Dear Colleagues,

Please consider submitting your abstract to the session below for the 2017 AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans.

Session B063: Soil Carbon Dynamics at Broad Scales: Linking Mechanistic Knowledge to Broad-scale Applications
Session ID#: 25282

Goldschmidt 2017 — Free Deep Carbon Observatory Workshop: Keep Your Samples Alive (and Connected)!

Does your research involve collecting, analyzing, and storing physical samples such as rock or mineral specimens, cores of sediment, soil, ice, and other materials, and water or gas samples? If the answer is yes, please join us for a lunch workshop at the 2017 Goldschmidt Conference to learn about tools available for registering your samples.

AGU session (B071): "The Role of Microbes in Biogeochemical Cycles: Linking Responses to Ecosystem Processes and Environmental Change"

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you, a group you represent, or others in your network to submit an abstract to our AGU session (B071):
"The Role of Microbes in Biogeochemical Cycles: Linking Responses to Ecosystem Processes and Environmental Change"

AGU session (B040) In Life and Death: Microbial Mediation of Soil Carbon Transformations. Session ID#: 29224

We invite submission to AGU session (B040) In Life and Death: Microbial Mediation of Soil Carbon Transformations.  Session ID#: 29224

This session will focus on the key roles of microbial mediation of organic C cycling in terrestrial ecosystems

AGU 17 Session B006: Advancing Understanding of Hydrological and Biogeochemical Interactions in Terrestrial Ecosystems through Large-Scale Model Systems

We would like to cordially invite you to our 2017 AGU Fall Meeting session on "Advancing Understanding of Hydrological and Biogeochemical Interactions in Terrestrial Ecosystems through Large-Scale Model Systems." This session will feature recent developments in large-scale multi-disciplinary experimental design and measurement techniques and will host a discussion of the particular challenges and potential for this type of experimentation.
