The Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI) is a 501(c)3 research organization representing more than 100 U.S. universities and international water science institutions. CUAHSI was incorporated in 2001 and receives core funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support the advancement of water science and engineering in the United States. In addition to education and outreach programs, CUAHSI operates the Water Data Center, which provides water researchers with state-of-the-art data publication, discovery, download, re-use, and archiving capabilities. CUAHSI has a staff of 10, including administrative personnel, with an annual budget of approximately $2.3M. CUAHSI offices are currently located in the Boston area. CUAHSI is seeking a new Executive Director with the vision and management skills to lead the consortium in its important role of advancing water science through community efforts such as: developing, supporting, and operating research infrastructure; improving access to data, information and models; articulating priorities for community-level water-related research and observations; facilitating interactions among the diverse water research community; promoting interdisciplinary education centered in water science; and translating scientific advancements into effective tools for water management and policy. The Executive Director also serves as President and hence as Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. The Executive Director/President reports to the Board of Directors.
