Small agricultural catchment (263 ha) in a Mediterranean environment
Detailed Site Description: 

The Kamech basin is located north of Cape Bon, the CRDA of Nabeul, the boundary between the sub-humid climates and semi-arid Mediterranean. The average inter-annual rainfall of about 600 mm and potential evapotranspiration of 1600 mm. The outlet of the basin is occupied by a hill lake (140 000 m3 capacity). The inter-annual flow coefficient and of the order of 10% and the erosion of 25 t / ha / year. The zoning is characterized by culturing rate close to 75% with, in order of importance: cereals, legumes and irrigated gardening. Gullies and mass movements become important in this basin.
