Understanding ecosystem transitions is more important than ever and critical zone observatories shall contribute to this issue. The Symposium "Observing Ecosystem Transition" (28 - 29 September 2015) will discuss regime shifts during ecosystem succession and the role of critical zone observatories. The conference will take place at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus (Germany) and includes an excursion to the Chicken Creek critical zone observatory. Keynote contributions will be given by invited speakers, e.g. John Crawford (Rothamsted Research, UK), Steve Banwart (University of Sheffield, UK), Peter Troch (University of Arizona, US), and Henry Lin (Penn State University, US).

We cordially invite you to attend this event. A limited number of places is still available, registration is possible until 15 September 2015. Please refer to https://www.tu-cottbus.de/projekte/de/ecosystem/symposium-10-years-huehn... for further information and registration.

We are looking forward to your visit!
