Critical Zone Exploration Network

This group is dedicated to sharing data and methods pertaining to the incubation of boreal and arctic soils during the International Polar Year (and beyond). We have collectively developed a protocol for collecting and measuring the radiocarbon values of the CO2 respired from incubated samples. Our aim is to collect comparable data during the upcoming field seasons in order to study the sources of respiration, along with differences in soil carbon cycling, across a variety of northern sites.
