International Association of GeoChemistry Student Grants Available

The IAGC Student Research Grant Program

*** Each year the International Association of GeoChemistry (IAGC) awards multiple grants to assist PhD students in geochemistry in undertaking and acquiring geochemical analyses in support of the student’s dissertation research.

*** Student Research Grant applications are available from the IAGC Business Office upon request (gascoyne@granite.mb.ca). Completed application forms and proposals are to be submitted as an attachment to an e-mail sent to the IAGC Business Office by 15 October 2008.

*** Authorized uses of IAGC Research Student Grant funds include: (i) the cost of preparing research samples for geochemical analysis, (ii) travel to an analytical facility to undertake geochemical sample analysis, and (iii) the cost of geochemical analyses of research samples.

*** Each PhD student receiving an IAGC Student Research Grant shall provide a summary to the IAGC Treasurer of how the grant funds were spent not later than twenty-four (24) months the grant is received. The IAGC support shall acknowledge this support in the PhD student’s dissertation and in any scientific publications deriving from the research. The grant recipient shall provide a copy of the PhD dissertation and reprints of any scientific papers deriving from the IAGC-supported research to the IAGC Business Office
