The chair group Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality invites applications from candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Soil Chemistry. You will contribute to the group’s educational activities and research. We seek particular strengthening of our “Soil Carbon” research theme, and an educational contribution to soil chemical processes at the introductory level, in relation to soil quality, soil protection, land use functions and climate. Given our current gender balance, we strongly encourage female candidates to apply.

We welcome candidates with a PhD in soil- or geosciences with a strong chemical focus, a talent for innovative academic research, passion for teaching, and potential to attract research funding, in line with the Tenure Track career trajectory at Wageningen University. The candidate should show potential leadership in developing a vision on future research and education in the domain of Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality, particularly on the theme “Soil Carbon”, and become an inspiring ambassador of her/his theme towards stakeholders both within and outside academia, nationally and internationally.

Additional information about the vacancy can be obtained from Prof.dr. Rob N.J. Comans, chair holder Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality, rob.comans@wur.nl. Information about the terms of employment can be obtained from Joke Cobben, HRM-advisor, joke.cobben@wur.nl.
