GRAD STUDENT/POST DOC TRAVEL SUPPORT AWARDED

NSF has provided funding to support travel by qualified graduate students and post docs to the upcoming SoilCritZone meeting in Crete from 5-9 September 2008. The following ten persons were selected from the applicant pool.

Tony Hartshorn - Arizona State University
Eve-Lyn Hinckley – Stanford University
Claire Hoff – University of New Hampshire
Jill Marshall - San Francisco State University
Sergio Morales – University of Montana
Susan Riggins – University of Colorado-Boulder
Jennifer Williams – Penn State University

As in the previous SoilCritZone workshops (Bristol, 2007 and Sofia, 2008), we will bring together experts for multidisciplinary debates on soil issues. In addition, SoilCritZone aims to have at least one expert scientist from each EU member state so that the European soil issues are fully represented and discussed. Scientists from the US and other non-EU countries, including developing countries, will also attend. General information on the Workshop 3, can be accessed at:
